Allow their search crawlers (OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, Claude-SearchBot) in robots.txt. Serve text in the HTML, not after scripts. Write headings as questions and answer in the first sentence below. Show the author and update date: AI cites fresh, signed pages more often.

Do I need llms.txt?

Look for visits from chatgpt.com and perplexity.ai in analytics and ask an assistant about your topic with sources.
