Frequently asked questions

Is the website check really free?

Yes. The check and the report are free with no sign-up: paste an address and in 1–2 minutes you get a score, the list of violations, possible fines and ready-made code to fix them. An account is only needed to keep your check history.

What exactly does Awe Check check?

More than 50 items in eight sections: cookies and trackers before consent, forms and consent to data processing, privacy policy and company details, security and HTTPS, SEO, visibility in AI search, accessibility, and speed by Core Web Vitals.

Which countries’ laws does it check against?

The European Union (GDPR), the United States (CCPA), Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus. You can pick several at once, for example the EU and the US if you sell or ship to both. Fines in the report are calculated for each selected country.

Do I need to give access or install code?

No. The service opens the site like a regular visitor, in a real browser on desktop and mobile, and only looks at public pages. No passwords, admin access or code installation are needed.

Where do the fine amounts come from?

From current versions of the laws: GDPR, CCPA and the administrative codes of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus. Each violation cites the provision. The amount is a guide: the final fine is set by a court or regulator.

Does it work for WordPress, Tilda and other platforms?

Yes, for any site with public pages. The service detects the platform, and for WordPress, Tilda, 1C-Bitrix and InSales there are step-by-step guides to add a cookie banner and fix what was found.

How do I send the report to my developer?

Every report has a permanent link you can copy or share to Telegram and WhatsApp right from the page. The report downloads as PDF and Markdown, and its tasks are split by role, developer, content, server and owner.

Does the report replace a lawyer?

No. It is an automated check that finds typical violations and explains how to fix them. Disputes, contracts and a substantive review of your documents need a lawyer.

How often should I check my site?

After every notable change: a new tracker, form, plugin or redesign, and at least once a quarter: laws change and third-party services add scripts quietly. Re-checks are free too.

An automated check and risk review, not legal advice.
