  • Buyers can exchange or return goods within the legal time limits, and the site explains how.
  • The seller answers a written claim in writing.

Fines under Article 190, Part 5

The amount is small, but such violations are easy to find through a customer complaint and trigger a check of the whole site — including personal data, where fines are dozens of times higher.

  • Small business — 10 MCI (₸43,250).
  • Medium business — 15 MCI (₸64,875).
  • Large business — 25 MCI (₸108,125).
  • Repeated within a year (Part 6): 20 MCI (₸86,500), 30 MCI (₸129,750) and 50 MCI (₸216,250).

What to put on the site

Awe Check looks for the seller’s name, BIN and contacts and checks whether the site has a Kazakh version.

  • In the footer and on the Contacts page: company or sole trader name, BIN or IIN, address, phone, email and opening hours in both languages.
  • An “Exchanges and returns” page with the procedure and time limits.
  • An address for claims and the reply deadline.

Frequently asked

Is a full Kazakh version of the site required?

Article 190 is about seller contacts and details in two languages. A full Kazakh site is a separate language-law question, but contacts and sale terms in Kazakh are definitely needed.

Does this apply to services, not goods?

Consumer protection law covers services too: provider contacts and replies to claims are required as well.
