On Tilda the banner is one piece of code in the site settings. The key step is removing tracker IDs from Tilda’s built-in analytics, otherwise they keep loading before consent.

How to install on Tilda

Build the banner in the generator above: language, colour, Google Analytics and Metrica IDs.

Open the project → Site Settings → More → HTML code for the head section and paste the whole code.

In Analytics, remove the Google Analytics, Metrica and pixel IDs — the banner loads them now.

Add a “Cookie settings” link to the footer (code below the generator) with a T123 HTML block.

Republish all pages and run the site through Awe Check: trackers must not load before “Accept”.
Important. If the IDs stay in Tilda’s built-in analytics, the tracker runs twice, once before consent — exactly the violation that gets fined.
In the EU, yes — under the GDPR and the ePrivacy directive, whenever analytics or advertising cookies are used. Kazakhstan and Russia also treat analytics data as personal data that needs consent.
Why is “We use cookies” not enough?
Because trackers are already running. The law requires asking before collecting data, not informing afterwards. This banner keeps trackers off until the visitor agrees.
What happens to my analytics if people reject?
Some visits will not reach your analytics. Consent Mode v2 lets Google model part of the missing data without overriding the visitor’s choice.
Where is the visitor’s choice stored?
In the visitor’s browser, in localStorage. Neither your server nor we receive it. The “Cookie settings” footer link reopens the banner.
How do I check it works?
Run the site through Awe Check: the report lists every tracker and cookie that appears before “Accept” and whether rejecting works.
